CO2 Bubble Rates

  • pH: 7.0
  • Temp:
  • KH: 5
  • GH:
  • NH4:
  • NO2:
  • NO3: 10
  • PO4: 1.25
  • Iron:
  • Dosing: 5 mL Flourish, 10 mL iron chelate (1 ppm)

Notes:
I upped the CO2 flow to 1.5 bubbles/sec to try to get the pH to 6.8. At the end of the day, the pH was approx. 7.1. It was slightly higher due to the CO2 usage. I'm trying to think of why the old bubble rate of 1 bubble/sec was no longer adequate. I had cleaned out the CO2 reactor, which had a lot of junk accumulated in it, so perhaps the flow of water increased a bit, somehow resulting in less CO2 to be absorbed. I upped the bubble rate to 2 bubbles/sec.
